Lauren Smithee

I am a queer, PhD-level marriage and family therapist providing virtual therapy to clients throughout Utah and California. I have been in a same-gender relationship for over 14 years, and I bring both lived experience and specialized training to my work with LGBTQ individuals, couples, and families. My areas of focus include couples therapy using the Gottman Method, trans-affirming care following the WPATH Standards of Care, and EMDR for trauma healing. I work extensively with queer and trans clients navigating relationship challenges, gender identity exploration, religious and family trauma, and the ongoing impact of minority stress.
