Lauryn Vosburgh

Lauryn Vosburgh (she/her) is an NCCAOM board certified acupuncturist and health activist with a passion for inclusivity, healthcare access, and providing compassionate, competent care to the LGBTQIA+ and other underserved communities. She additionally brings extensive knowledge of the ways psycho-emotional experiences and physical symptoms connect in the body. Her approach to acupuncture is rooted in techniques to assist the body in processing psycho-emotional experiences, their physical manifestations, and supporting overall wellbeing. She ensures that, even when addressing physical concerns such as pain, nausea, or insomnia, non-physical roots or effects of the illness are also addressed. Her intention as a practitioner is to create space for mental, emotional, and physical healing, ultimately leading to personal transformation and empowerment. Her draw to Chinese Medicine was fueled by the holistic model it provides, accounting for the health of the mind, body and spirit for each individual person. Prior to her acupuncture career, Lauryn spent a decade providing health education and programming on LGBTQIA+ health, sexual assault and relationship violence prevention, sexual health, sleep, healthy eating, and active living to college students. She then spent a decade studying western herbal medicine while working in health food stores, providing customers with herbal, supplemental and natural remedies and body care. She was also a chef for a contemplative spirituality organization where she developed and prepared gluten / nut / soy free and vegan meals. She believes that food and herbs are medicine and therefore nutrition, from both Eastern and Western perspectives, is a central focus of her approach to wellness. Lauryn graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in 2024, receiving multiple awards. These include the Tsay Fellowship Grant to increase awareness of transgender and intersex identities and health needs in the acupuncture community, The Wood Element Award for embodying the characteristics of confidence, vision, and motivation, and the President’s Commitment to Diversity Award for her endless encouragement of the faculty, staff, and students to be inclusive in their approach as educators and practitioners.
