Lili Allen
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate (LPC-A) in Charleston, SC. I specialize in helping LGBTQIAP2S+ clients heal from trauma + navigate identity around gender, sexuality, body image & more. Through a lens of intersectionality and radical empathy, I prioritize crafting a space where clients feel comfortable enough as they truly are to do the tough work of therapy. My hope is for clients to move toward alignment with their authentic selves, heal from difficult life experiences & ultimately to live a life that is not only worth living, but one that is worth loving. Utilizing a trauma-informed “bottom-up” approach, which provides a safe foundation for our magnificent brains to imagine, reprocess emotion and befriend our bodies, I work to heal the entire emotional being: mind, heart + nervous system. I understand that until the body feels safe enough to process trauma, attempts to do so are often disheartening & futile. I am a member of the following organizations: The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) The American Counseling Association, SAIGE division, Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities. The American Psychological Association, Division 44, Society for the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity.
