My approach includes tempering the emotional with the practical; addressing unmet needs, unhealthy thought-patterns and perceptions; and employing mindfulness, self compassion, and skill building into our work. I provide a therapeutic relationship rooted in compassion, authenticity, and nonjudgement so you can feel safe to be vulnerable in our work toward healing, resolution, and positive change. I offer over 25 yrs' experience as a child development professional, homeschool educator, art therapist, and clinical counselor. Life experience as a first generation American; Asian woman of color; and single parent of a multiracial family also lend wisdom to my practice. I am a Registered Art Therapist with the American Art Therapy Association
