Lynette Williams

Lynette graduated with her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2016. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Northern Iowa in 2013. Lynette is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Iowa. She is a current member of AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists). Lynette’s training and experience include working with individuals and couples using therapeutic styles of Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has experience in working with adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, individuals over the age of 65 who are going through life changes, couples with relationship concerns, and court-ordered clinical treatment of clients charged with sexual misconduct. Lynette’s professional interests include working with those over the age of 13 who may struggle with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and sexual concerns including issues surrounding relationships/intimacy, sexual orientation and/or gender identity (LGBTQ+ affirming), sexual functioning, and harmful sexual behaviors.
