As a patient, I have unfortunately felt like I was not heard or seen when visiting my healthcare provider. As a provider, my first goal of care with a new patient is trust. Specializing in menopause, I spend one hour with each patient learning as much as I can and building trust, so the patient understands and feels like an equal partner in their care.
