Marisa Suppatkul
Dr. Suppatkul obtained both a BS with Honors from Texas A&M University and a BA with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her medical education at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She subsequently completed a residency in Psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She was Chief Resident in the Child and Adolescent program during her final year of training. She is board certified in both Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Suppatkul is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians, Houston Psychiatric Society, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Texas Medical Association, and Harris County Medical Society. She received the David Mendell Fellowship Award presented to the premier resident in the Child and Adolescent Fellowship program at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. The AACAP selected her for the Outstanding Child and Adolescent Resident “Young Leaders Award”. Dr. Suppatkul sees patients six years of age and older in her outpatient practice. She offers comprehensive, culturally competent care to our diverse community of members, and is committed to providing non-biased, affirming care for the LGBTQ+ community. Moreover, she has a special clinical interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
