She/Her, They/Them

Isn’t it hard to be a person sometimes? Life can be challenging, and you don’t have to go through it alone. My goal is to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can explore who you are, what you’re feeling, and where you want to go. Starting therapy can feel like a big leap into the unknown, and I get that it can be intimidating. I’ve been there! I’m here to assure you that you’re not alone in this. My approach is compassionate and client-centered, meaning that I meet you where you are, and we figure it out along the way. I specialize in working with members of the LGBTQIA community and have over ten years of experience in working with the transgender community on college campuses, in non-profits, and in private practice. I also have experience in working with clients who are dealing with distress related to self-esteem, body image, dating + relationships, sexual dysfunction, and life transitions. I have a special passion for working with those living with chronic illness as well as healthcare related trauma. Furthermore, I am invested in examining issues of identity, including the ways in which race, gender, sexuality, class, and ability impact each of our lives. I will never see it as your obligation to educate me during our sessions (if you know, you know) because as your therapist, it will be my duty and privilege to do the work and keep up to date with current research. At the end of the day, you are the expert on YOU. I’m here to be your guide, your ally, and your biggest cheerleader as you go through this process. Whether you feel you need a little bit of Rose or a lot of Dorothy in a therapist, I’m here to provide you with the support I believe we all need sometimes. Looking into scheduling a session can be the beginning of a transformative journey, and I commend you for taking the first step.
