Mary Lawrence

I have a special interest in providing competent, affirming care to the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly to transgender and gender expansive adults. I approach therapy from a compassionate, person-centered perspective, and draw from an eclectic range of therapeutic styles depending on your unique needs. I truly believe that therapy is most effective when it's collaborative - you are the expert on you; sometimes you may just need a little outside perspective to tap into that expertise in new and grounded ways. I appreciate the vulnerability it takes to share your story and I can't wait to get to know you. I have experience working in community and outpatient clinical settings, as well as private practice. I am a full member of WPATH, and I'm currently pursuing certification through their Global Education Institute (GEI). I am also a member of Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ+ Equality (formerly GLMA).
