Mel English
Mel English, PsyD, is a Licensed Psychologist and holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Chestnut Hill College. Dr. English completed their predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship training with the University of Maryland School of Medicine (SOM) and University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC), working primarily on the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Inpatient Unit. Dr. English has been active in the integration of LGBTQ+ affirming approaches to multidisciplinary care, including leading staff training and consultation with providers. Dr. English is passionate about implementing evidence-based practice with adolescents and their caregivers and adapting interventions for LGBTQ+ youth, including DBT-informed treatment and parent/caregiver-training. They are committed to providing clinical care and navigating systems in order to address the unique needs of diverse youth, families, and their communities.
