Meredith Hemphill

I am a graduate of New York University who has worked for 10+ years with people who experience physical illness and pain, and caregivers of people with serious illnesses. I also specialize in the treatment of Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), as well as counseling for relationship transitions, committed relationships and divorce. As a Doctor of Social Work and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I pair complex issues with a variety of therapeutic approaches in a way that suits your individual needs and preferences. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Intensive Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. I have extensive experience with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), other exposure approaches, and Narrative Therapy. I am an adjunct at New York University and Columbia University and provide counseling in a supportive and collaborative environment. I am licensed in both New York and New Jersey.
