Michael Boykin

My name is Michael. I work as an LMFT and APCC serving clients virtually in California and Florida, virtually. The clients that find their way to me are often men of color looking to process and work through anxiety, questions of sexuality and gender, burnout and stress, and concerns related to how they show up in the world as men. In my practice, I support teens and adults in unpacking, making sense of, and growing from their past and present life challenges. We work together to re-author limiting narratives, uncover hidden strengths, and build resilience. I also work with couples seeking to improve communication, disrupt dysfunctional patterns, and enhance their connection. My approach is psychodynamic, and I show up relationally, blending humor, warmth, and directness. I help clients explore how past experiences shape their present challenges, and we use what is uncovered and learned in sessions to chart a path forward. As we work together, I will focus on empowering you through collaborative, person-centered therapy to foster greater self-awareness and growth.
