I'm Dr. Michael Stinnett (he/him), a licensed psychologist and the the founder of Oceanview Mental Health and Wellness. Located in Wilmington, NC, we proudly offer compassionate, top-tier mental health services both locally and across 40 PSYPACT states. Our mission is to provide a safe, affirming space for all clients, with a dedicated focus on the LGBTQIA+ community. About The Practice: At Oceanview Mental Health and Wellness, we specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring our clients receive evidence-based, effective care tailored to their unique needs. My extensive experience and passion lie in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, helping them navigate their mental health journeys with understanding and support. Beyond my clinical work, I co-founded the NC Transgender and Gender Diverse Professional Consultation Team, where we focus on providing gender-affirming care in Southeastern North Carolina. I am deeply committed to social justice and equity, actively participating in initiatives with the North Carolina Psychological Association (NCPA) and the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).
