Miguel Lopez

I'm a queer-affirming, virtual therapist serving clients across Texas. I specialize in LGBTQIA+ mental health, supporting individuals and couples as they navigate coming out, gender and sexual identity, religious trauma, and non-traditional relationships—including polyamory and ethical non-monogamy. I also work with those experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, and identity exploration. My goal is to provide a safe, inclusive space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered in your journey. Same-week appointments available statewide. My approach is eclectic and client-centered, blending humanistic insight with practical behavioral tools to support lasting change. These modalities include, Existential Therapy, CBT, Ecotherapy, Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and SFBT. I am m Level 1 trained in the Gottman Method, supporting all couples—LGBTQIA+, non-traditional, and monogamous. Outside of counseling, I find joy and balance through nature, creativity, and meaningful relationships. You’ll often find me knitting, birdwatching, exploring new hobbies, or spending quality time with my partner, our two cats, and our dog. My personal life deeply reflects the values I bring into my therapy practice. I regularly incorporate ecotherapy, mindfulness, and other holistic tools to stay grounded, inspired, and connected to the world around me. These practices not only support my own well-being but also fuel the passion and zest for life that I strive to help my clients cultivate in their own journeys.
