Hi, I'm Mindy. I founded Affirming You in 2021 with a clear vision: to build a practice where clients, interns, therapists, and our wider community feel truly seen, supported, and affirmed. I believe healing happens in connection. Within ourselves, our relationships, and the communities we belong to. Everyone deserves to be understood on their own terms, and that belief shapes everything we do. My Approach My work centers on helping clients build self-compassion, safety, belonging, and dignity. As a Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant, I draw from evidence-based modalities including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic interventions, always through a trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming lens. As a Certified Yoga Teacher, Level 1 Eco Therapy-trained clinician, and Certified Brick by Brick Facilitator (a LEGO-based therapy approach), I also love incorporating in art, movement, time in nature, play, and laughter, because healing isn't always heavy.
