Nat Dodd
Howdy, I’m Nat! My pronouns are they/them. I am a queer and neurodivergent therapist. I most enjoy working with young adults, queer and trans folks, autistic people, and those living with anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder. My approach is person-centered and involves a variety of evidence-based strategies including narrative therapy, behavioral activation for depression, and exposure and response prevention (ERP) for the treatment of anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder. I love reading (especially poetry and fantasy) and would definitely be down to incorporate some bibliotherapy into our work together. I also enjoy spending time outdoors and am happy to offer walk & talk sessions. My values as a therapist include autonomy, solidarity, collaboration, curiosity, and humility. If you use drugs or are in recovery, know that my approach is rooted in the principles of harm reduction. I am also sex-positive and kink-aware. I have a Master of Social Work, with a concentration in Mental Health & Substance Use, along with a Certificate of Health Education from Eastern Michigan University.
