My passion in the field lies with childhood traumatic experiences and how these take a physical toll on our bodies. Trauma can place heavy burden on the unconscious parts of our mind and manifest as physical sensations, certain thought patterns/habits, and self-fulfilling prophecies. In this way, it is important to call attention to these details of our lives, as they make profound differences in personal mental health. They also have a cyclical relationship with those in disadvantaged populations, leading to over-incarceration; medical neglect; stereotyping, prejudice, discrimination; etc.
