She/Her

Hello! I believe that therapy is a partnership in which you are the expert in your own lived experience and I have tools and strategies to offer in support of you making desired changes in your life. I generally focus on balance and work to balance mindful awareness, acceptance, and self-compassion with changes in response patterns and coping styles, as needed and desired. I operate from an anti-racist, neurodivergent-affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming (I am queer identified), Health at Any Size/body neutrality, intersectional perspective. I believe that while I might work with individuals, consideration of historical, structural, and systemic barriers to well-being is crucial. I also have worked in Veterans Affairs in the past and have experience with combat-related trauma and military sexual trauma. I provide individual and group therapy for adults, young adults, and the occasional older teenager. I typically spend the first few sessions with folks learning more about history, current challenges, and goals for therapy. From there we can devise a treatment plan best suited to your needs and goals. I offer a brief consultation at no charge so you can get to know me a bit better and see if you might like to pursue working together. Here are some of my therapy-related passions and approaches: - increasing self-awareness/understanding of emotion and its causes, communications, and effects - recovering from invalidation/increasing self-validation - increasing self-compassion - cultivating/increasing trust in wise mind - continued support for DBT clients who have graduated from stage 1 treatment - skills generalization in new contexts/life transitions - values-based work - building the therapeutic relationship and helping people move toward behavioral change if they are in pre-contemplation/contemplation stages - working with high-masking, lower support needs Autistics (diagnosed later in life, self-diagnosed, or suspect they’re Autistic) - PTSD, history of trauma, traumatic invalidation, medical evaluation (trained in PE, DBT-PE, and CPT) - depression - anxiety - CBT for Insomnia - Circadian Rhythm Sleep-Wake Disorders - CPAP habituation - Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, POTS, chronic illness - medical provider burnout/career re-evaluation - Mindfulness teaching - I currently offer 1:1 teaching for folks who want to deepen their own practice and/or could use some external accountability and offer mindfulness groups to be offered in the near future Whatever path you choose, I wish you well!
