Natalie Udwin
Hi! I’m Nat - a compulsive pattern finder, habit breaker, neuro nerd and forever student of movement and life. An avid hiker, artist, learner, and adventurer, I’m constantly on the quest to find the answers and marvel at nature and its beauty before us. My thirsty quest for knowledge over the past 12 years has shaped the lens and foundation by which I practice OT. I’m on a constant quest to dig deeper, but not before mastering the layer of understanding that I’m currently getting comfortably in. I practice a collaborative model of OT - which means that I work super closely with my colleagues from all different disciplines on a very regular basis. Together our skills offer so much more than they can on their own - the sea of answers swells and becomes vast with knowledge and expertise. I pull my knowledge from many areas - myofunctional therapy, reflexes, sensory integration, feeding, neuro, breathing, oral motor skills, primitive movement patterns - it’s never enough. I am passionate about infant feeding and development, which has led me to a much deeper understanding of the developmental detours that my older patients took, likely in their first 6 months of life. The more I learn, the more I believe that the combination of structure and function from gestation to the first 6 months of life plays in integral role in shaping future development, not just for our children, but for all of us.
