Nicholas Perry
I enjoy working with clients from all different backgrounds, across race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, and ability. As a gay man, I have particular empathy and compassion for any client who feels their path in life has not followed that of the majority or who have felt marginalized in some way. I also have extensive experience in working with members of the LGBTQ community in therapy. I believe therapy should be collaborative between myself and clients - I bring education and training to our therapy and you bring the most expertise on yourself. I use therapies based on strong scientific evidence, like CBT and ACT. I have received specialized training in couple therapy, treatment of PTSD, and in clinical work with LGBTQ individuals and couples. My approach is affirming, friendly, and client-focused. I believe humor should have a respected place in therapy. Laughter is good medicine.
