Nick Grant
I am a clinical psychologist, licensed in the District of Columbia, with a clinical background in health psychology/behavioral medicine and research background in minority health. I obtained my Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 2015 following the completion of a predoctoral internship at Tulane University’s School of Medicine with an emphasis in behavioral medicine. In 2016 I completed a clinical psychology postdoctoral residency at the VA San Diego Healthcare System/University of California, San Diego with an emphasis in LGTBQ Mental Health. I have an extensive clinical and research background in working with sexual and gender minority communities, and comprehensive training in areas of diversity/multicultural studies. Specialties include: -Psychotherapy, clinical assessment and consultation. -Advocating for psychological science, health equity and LGBTQ+ communities within professional and lay communities -Speaking and teaching about the relationship between psychological science and public policy, clinical practice and research with LGBTQ+ populations, and the value of mentorship across disciplines -Program development, including design and assessment of clinical, research and training programs
