Nick Ulrich
Hi - I'm Nick. For individual therapy, I work primarily with queer folks on gender/ sexuality exploration, navigating complex trauma, depression/anxiety, and stressful life transitions through a collaborative, compassionate, and affirming lens. In partners therapy, I work to help improve communication, deepen intimacy, and explore life transitions. We will take time to learn and explore your life through the systems you connect with to deepen your understanding of yourself. I operate from a direct, laidback, and supportive place in order to help you achieve your goals. As a person-centered therapist, I focus on being genuine with compassion and empathy to be able to help clients to create lasting change. Much of my work is in re-developing communication tools and creating healthy boundaries. I utilize elements from systemic, gestalt, and cognitive behavioral theories. My practice is queer, poly/ENM, and kink friendly. I firmly believe you are the expert of your own experience, but it can be hard when you don't know what to do. There is nothing wrong with seeking help when you are needing it. If you are looking for a geeky, chill, and laidback, but also direct, collaborative, and affirming therapist, I encourage you to reach out! Look forward to hearing from you!
