Paul Busse

I am originally from Lima, Peru and so I’m bilingual. I earned a BS Degree from Texas A&M University in Galveston, TX.  After completing residency in Omaha Nebraska at the Clarkson Family Medicine program, I decided to returned back to Jacksonville, FL. My partner and I have been living in Jacksonville area since 2009. I have been practicing medicine for over 20 years and was part of the family medicine team with Ascension St Vincent’s Health for over 6 yrs before starting my own practice. Over time I have witnessed a change in medicine that I am not proud of, we have been pushed to become robots and to follow a cookie cutter model aimed at reaching goals/numbers/metrics instead of the patients needs . I never liked that approach, I think we all deserve a voice and the adequate amount of time. I want to bring back the personalized physician model where there is a true patient-doctor relationship. When it comes to LGBTQ+ medical services, I want my patients to understand I have walked in your shoes and I comprehend the struggles that come with it.
