Rachel Oppenheimer
Taking the first few steps toward working on your mental health is a sign of significant strength and resilience. Finding a therapist can definitely feel overwhelming, but taking the time to find the right fit and ensuring you feel a connection is worth the effort, and is actually a therapeutic element of engaging in therapy. I look forward to supporting you through this journey and investment in your mental well-being. My clinical style is collaborative, person-centered, and strength-based. We’ll explore the various experiences and systems that impact you using three approaches: CBT, insight-oriented, and mindfulness-based approaches. That said, because everyone is different, I adjust my approach to meet my client’s needs. I've been privileged to work with a diversity of clients and regularly keep myself accountable to staying culturally competent. I have expertise working with Queer and international communities, young professionals, and women’s issues. Of interest, I’m looking to work with people leaving or have left high-control groups (i.e. cults, MLMs, scams).
