I’m the owner of Long Beach Midwife, a solo home birth midwifery practice in Los Angeles(LA) County and serving Orange County (OC) and surrounding areas in SoCal. As well as pregnancy prenatal care, home birth and water birth, I offer fertility care services and specialize in LGBTQ+ queer family building including at-home assisted insemination (IUI). I also offer general gynecological wellness services like PAPs/ STI testing. I am passionate about helping families to have empowering heath care experiences. I believe all pregnant people should give birth where they feel safest. For many of us queer folks, health care can be such an exhausting, stressful and even traumatic experience. I wish that humanizing, dignified health care was the standard, but sadly it isn’t. Pelvic health care can feel so vulnerable, especially when you are a marginalized person. Birth especially is one of the most intimate and vulnerable times in a person’s life, you deserve to be with a provider who you trust and feel safe with. Offering home-based health services can be so healing. It puts the power back in your hands, so that you remain at the center of your health care.
