Renae DeFreitas

I am an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with additional board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. A graduate of both DeSales University and Wilkes University, I am passionate about providing thoughtful, individualized mental health care grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect. Drawing from my background in both family and psychiatric medicine, I take a holistic and compassionate approach to treatment, recognizing the connection between mental, physical, and emotional well-being. I believe in creating a supportive space where patients feel comfortable having open, honest conversations about their experiences, goals, and concerns. Together, we develop personalized treatment plans that reflect each individual’s unique needs and values. I provide psychiatric care for individuals ages 14-60 and treat a range of conditions including Anxiety Disorders, Depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, and Bipolar Disorders, among others. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am especially committed to offering affirming, inclusive care for LGBTQIA+ individuals. I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel seen, respected, and supported in all aspects of their identity and mental health journey.
