Robin Mills

My healthcare career started over 20 years ago when I studied massage therapy, energy work, and essential oils. After a few years I realized having a nursing degree would deepen my knowledge of the human body and experience. I have been a registered nurse since 2008 and family nurse practitioner since 2015. I have primarily worked in community health settings that focus on underserved populations. Currently I work with Denver Health, a safety net healthcare system. Providing compassionate, inclusive, integrative care with a focus on lifestyle medicine to help the whole person and/or family exemplify my core values. While in nursing school, I worked for Planned Parenthood where I learned the unique needs of the LBGTQ+ community. As inclusivity is a value of mine, when Denver Health offered learning opportunities to provide transgender care I jumped at the chance. Since learning about these skills and building on my interest in sexual and gender health care, I have become one of the experts in my clinic. I regularly teach nurse practitioner students sexual health and gender affirming care. On a personal note, I’m a stereotypical Coloradan who spends as much time exploring the outdoors with her partner, friends and pup, Lulu.
