Sahar Al-Najjar
Sahar is a master-level psychotherapist and doctoral candidate in clinical psychology. She holds two master degrees in Counseling from Loyola University (2021), and in Clinical Psychology from Adler University (2023). As a clinical psychologist in training, she has experience working with individuals across the lifespan with a range of clinical presentations in community mental health, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, outpatient VA medical centers, and university counseling centers. Sahar's clinical approach is integrative with a foundation in multicultural and relational psychodynamic. She strives to continue centering culturally appropriate interventions and qualitative care through liberatory and anti-oppressive approaches to clinical treatment. Social justice and trauma-informed care is the foundation to her clinical work, by committing to understand the very injustices that are present for individuals facing oppression and marginalization through a non-pathologizing approach. As a first-generation clinician, she understands how imperative it is that mental health concerns are addressed with a unique lens when working with diverse populations. Currently, Sahar sees adult clients (ages 18+) through a secure HIPPA-compliant teletherapy service via Simple Practice. Sahar specializes in working with Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Complex Trauma.
