Shannon Theobald-Galgano

I am a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with St. Luke’s University Health Network, where I provide comprehensive OB/GYN care. My goal as a physician is to meet patients wherever they are in life’s journey and walk alongside them as a partner in their healthcare. I practice up-to-date, evidence-based medicine and continually seek opportunities to expand my knowledge so that I can provide the highest quality of care to my patients. I have a special focus on LGBTQ+ health and gender-affirming care, including hormone therapy for both transmasculine and transfeminine patients, gender-affirming surgeries (such as hysterectomy, salpingectomy, and/or oophorectomy), care coordination and referrals, and postoperative care for gender affirming procedures performed outside of the network. In addition, my practice includes gynecologic surgery (with expertise in minimally invasive and robotic techniques), management of endometriosis, pelvic pain, and abnormal bleeding, and family planning (including supportive counseling around reproductive choices and child-free sterilization). Outside of medicine, I find joy in time spent with family and friends, including my husband and our three beloved pets—Moonshine, Bourbon, and Luna. Above all, I hope to empower patients to live their fullest, healthiest lives both inside and outside the exam room.
