Shay Reynolds
Being a part of our collective LGBTQ+ journey towards self and community empowerment is very important to me. With backlash against authenticity in gender and sexuality becoming so present in our day to day, it is important to support, affirm, and extend towards each other from as close to a state of our own wholeness as we can manage. I am actively engaging in continuing education on incorporating the specific needs of LGBTQ+ individuals into my work as a therapist. I am under the supervision of a licensed counselor with many years of experience working with queer and trans youth. I specialize in working with transitions in life, depression and anxiety, and processing unresolved trauma in the mind and body using ACT, schema therapy, narrative therapy, and integrative health counseling. In the next few months I hope to offer group counseling for LGBTQ folks focused on interpersonal processing of minority stress and increasing self-acceptance and love.
