So Yung Kim
I believe that everyone deserves a safe space to reflect, explore, and gain support around their needs and concerns without fear of judgment. I specialize in helping individuals who struggle with anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and personal growth and identity issues. I bring an awareness of intersectionality to the therapy space, and I acknowledge how experiences of “otherness” impact our mental health and development. As a queer woman of color I aim to provide an affirming therapy space for AAPI, QTBIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ clients. My approach to our work together is exploratory and strengths-based. Clients have noted that I have a gentle approach and I ask questions that help them explore throughout the session at a pace that feels right for them. The mindfulness-based approaches I use can bring both immediate symptom relief, and help to shift old patterns and develop new ways of interacting in the present. A consultation call gives you a sense of what it will be like to work with me and to ask any questions you may have. So please don’t hesitate to reach out.
