Sophia Salib
I’m Sophia, a licensed social worker and certified alcohol and drug counselor. I approach my work from strengths-based and harm-reduction perspectives, and utilize a variety of evidence-based interventions including solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and EMDR. Therapy is an experience that we co-create, and I actively encourage feedback from clients to ensure that our work together is useful to you. I tend to work well with people who appreciate a direct communication style and non-hierachal approach to therapy. My approach is rooted in the belief that you already possess the wisdom and resources to create meaningful change; my role is to amplify your voice, validate your experiences, and offer tools tailored to your unique path. I work to cultivate a space that feels comfortable for everyone, with particular emphasis on people of color, queer folks, people practicing polyamory, and people struggling with substance use. Whether you’re grappling with uncertainty, exploring your motivations, or redefining what “recovery” means for you, I’m here to listen, challenge, and celebrate alongside you. Together, let’s build a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to live authentically.
