Taylor Wand
Hi, I’m Dr. Taylor Wand, a board-certified family medicine physician and HIV specialist certified by the American Academy of HIV Medicine, based in San Diego, California. I founded Wand Health to create the kind of medical practice many patients are looking for but rarely experience: unhurried visits, direct access to their physician, and care built around the individual rather than a rushed healthcare system. My clinical expertise include primary care, LGBTQ+ health, HIV prevention and treatment, PrEP, sexual health, care for transgender and gender-diverse patients, weight management, and preventive medicine. I welcome patients of all backgrounds and identities and strive to create an environment where people feel comfortable discussing their health openly and without judgment. Before medical school, I spent three years at the National Institutes of Health conducting immunology and HIV-related research. I earned my medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed my Family Medicine residency at Family Health Centers of San Diego, including hospital training at Scripps Health. At its heart, Wand Health is about creating the time and space to truly listen, meeting patients where they’re at, and supporting them in living healthier, fuller lives. I currently provide in-person care, telehealth visits throughout California, and home visits when appropriate.
