A Little About Me I’ve been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 2012 after completing a Ph.D. from Fielding Graduate University in 2011. I was a Licensed Psychological Associate from 2005-2011 after completing a Master’s Degree from Marshall University. I’m both a teacher and clinician, and value providing care to people while training others to do the same. I’ve been in practice in Louisville, KY since 2012, but have been seeing clients for over 15 years. I’m most comfortable working with I feel comfortable working with any type of client with any issue. I work with adolescents and adults. Outside of my speciality work, I’m comfortable helping people address problems with mood, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, stress management, concerns with life changes (divorce, change in jobs, going back to school) and use culturally sensitive and informed treatment models. In my free time you might find me Having a cup of coffee somewhere in Louisville’s awesome coffee scene or at the dog park launching tennis balls for my dog! When You Come to Your Appointment With Me, You Might Experience In my practice I foster an attitude of openness so that clients can share whatever they are feeling, free of shame, guilt, or judgment. Because I believe most people are overly critical or judgmental of their own struggles, I encourage clients to become more compassionate and caring toward their own selves and their problems. In addition to compassion, my work is informed by my values of justice and fairness. My Training and Specialty Work Includes I am a trained generalist; however I have taken time to develop some specialty skills. Specifically, I specialize in work with gender diverse people, sexual orientation minorities, and people living in diverse relationship structures. My work with LGBTQ+ people includes evaluations and letters of support for people who are seeking gender affirming medical care.
